16:00 Very busy indeed. We sat in the rear one of the two original rooms. Interesting chat with two locals ranging from the bizarre built in tables that have drain channels and tip up to empty, to thatch roofs and their fire risk.

Despite not really knowing where this pub is, I found it quite easily this time, even with catching a bus. Wondefully eclectic decor. I sat, had a couple of halves and simply relaxed.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Northern (see also Blakemere) - Blakemere Snowy Owl4.10AcceptableGold, thin lasting white head. Odd mix of diacetyl and flowery floral hop on aroma. Floral golden ale is quite good, never too ascetic, but aroma puts me off a bit.
Northern (see also Blakemere) - Blakemere Gold4.30AcceptableSlightly sweaty sox on the hop but decent golden ale, fullish in mouth. Hops are ok if a bit muted. Pale malts are fullish. OK.

This was my first visit for over 10 years, but I enjoyed it still. Curious interior with lots to see and full of character. Smallish bar serves up to 4 beers. Lunchtime with just a few locals in.

The pub is found in Liverpool, Merseyside, L8 7LY.

Wonderful antiquarian pub just off Catherine Street in Egerton Street. Dark brown pub, with low level lighting that creates an intimate atmosphere. Multiple rooms are served by a narrow bar. Walls have photos/pictures as well as bric-a-brac on shelves around the pub. Old radios are hung from the ceiling in one room. Worth coming to, just for the interesting interior. Local CAMRA branch Pub of the Year 2019.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 4 of them.
