Batemans - Salem Porter | 4.70 | Very dark brown/black, no head. Bit like an old ale, quite sour with prune fruit flavour. Some raisin. Quite a lot of flavour on the finish. A proper sour porter. Sour prune finish. Odd, but good to have. Bit of coffee throughout too. | |

The pub is found in Wareside, Hertfordshire, SG12 7QY.
Lovely pub in Ware Road, in an attractive village with several rooms with a real fire. Three distinct bars. Restaurant area. 8 cask gravity stillage serves the beer. Low beams and ceiling, but the cream walls make it feel bigger.
We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 7 different beers and tried 4 of them.
