A fine old pub just off the town centre and next door to the White Hart. Maintains separate saloon and public bars, the latter with an unusual hexagonal pool table. Occasional beer festivals. Supports local brewers. 1 handpump in public bar and 4 in the saloon.

We have visited this pub 12 times, seen 39 different beers and tried 25 of them.
