Late evening visit, all pumpclips turned round as "the gas has gone". Presume gas is that used with flojets or similar for propulsion to the bar.

Evening. Thriving Antic pub. Some of the real ale measures were "heady". Friendly and informative manager.

Quiet and relaxed early on a Tuesday evening, despite the full flow of the rush hour visible through the windows.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moorhouse's - Black Cat Mild3.40GoodThis example not quite the classic beer it should be. Condition a bit tired. Dry-ish and chocolately.
Jennings (since closure now brewed at Marston's) - Cumberland Ale4.00AcceptableA harmless, pale-coloured bitter. Lacking the depth of flavour of a recent sample drank elsewhere.

The pub is found in Camberwell, Greater London, SE5 7AA.

A large pub in a prominent position at the crossroads, right on Camberwell Green leased from Heineken by Antic. For many years this was the rather run-down ‘Silver Buckle’, but it is rejuvenated under its original name, following acquisition by the Antic Pub Co. in 2010. Stripped down to bare floorboards and basic decor, there is a variety of seating areas. Food also sold. Very late closing times on Saturday and Sunday morning means it is treated more like a nightclub then. Handled mugs are the default serving for real ales but straight glasses are available upon request. 6 handpumps.

We have visited this pub 3 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 3 of them.
