22 Feb 2025 (Hogan Sampling)
First day of the year people could comfortably sit outside in the sunshine. But also a seat and table to be hand on the inside, which was still busy, of this historic Victorian pub, and partly why here to admire the historic pubs in this area of London as well as sup some of their more interesting real ales. Prompt and friendly service for my mid-afternoon visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Gipsy Hill - Hepcat4.60GoodVery good head and lacing on this hazy session IPA from the Gipsy Hill Brewery in Norwood, south-east London. A first hit of fruitiness from stone fruit and mandarin. Pleasantly sweet but not citrusy. A moreishly dry mouthfeel mixed with a lightly fruity aftertaste.
