I had not been here for a long time but a peek through the window revealed an impressive display of handpumps. A very enthusiatic barman gave us tasters of several of the ales. Bar billiards was being played in the back bar.

Two bar town pub with traditional decor. The front room is long, thin, light and airy, the rear room less so. Real ales are usually represented by national brands with the occasional more unusual guest. The pub acts as the brewery tap for Hastings Brewery.
