Quiet in the early evening, although brewing was in progress. Disappointing to find no Lamb Brewery beers on cask. I only had time for a quick half, so opted to try one of the keg home-brews (three to chose from), rather than one of the range of cask guest beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Lamb - Hefeweizen5.50AcceptableOn keg dispense. Very cloudy; a murky orange colour. Heavily carbonated and rather bitter for the style.

Fairly busy on a Saturday lunchtime.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Lamb - Lamb Dark Ale4.20GoodDark as in amber not pale, this beer is malty rather than hoppy with sweetish biscuity notes and some fruity hop in the finish. My score 15/20
Shepherd Neame - Spooks Ale4.70AcceptableReddish brown beer dominated by crystal malt giving a rather cloying bittersweet flavour. Hint of fruit in the finish. My score 14/20.

I’ve been a bit slow off the mark visiting what is, I think, still London’s newest brewery (unless Brüpond are now in production?). Smart pub, with pretty good beer on this experience.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Lamb - Imperial Stout4.70ExcellentBlack, smooth, full-bodied stout with a bit of roastiness and a bit of liquorice.
Lamb - Lamb Ale4.20GoodA good, chestnut-coloured, malty, best bitter.

The pub is found in Chiswick, Greater London, W4 4PH.

This pub in Barley Mow Passage is long-established under the name Barley Mow, and is believed historically to have been tied to Sich & Co's Lamb Brewery of Chiswick – which closed in 1922. In the same ownership as the Botanist at Kew, it became the second pub in that group to install an in-house brewery. The brewery opened in September 2012 and at the same time the pub took on the name of the old (and new) brewery. It is large, with a garden at the front, the brewery was visible within the pub and extensive seating and dining areas. Towards the end of 2013 the pub was taken over by M&B and the brewery closed and the equipment was subsequently removed.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 19 different beers and tried 7 of them.
