Went to Sandwich for something to do. Came here for lunch. Think it's changed hands since last we were here. Friendly staff and locals.

Came for lunch. They were in the middle of a beer delivery when we arrived. The pub seemed quite busy at the bar but quiet everywhere else. My first beer was off so I took it back. The lady behind the bar thought that the recent beer delivery had shaken the barrels up too much. Anyway she replaced the beer.
Black Sheep - Best Bitter | 3.80 | | Not in great condition. |
Black Sheep - Best Bitter | 3.80 | | Vinegar and cloudy. Took it back and got another. |

Came here for a meal so didn't sit in the bar. Food was good and the staff were friendly.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 3 | 5.00 | | The best pint of this I've had. Sweet with lots of malt and toffee. This was gorgeous. |

Absolutely gasping for a pint, cycled around 20 miles by this point. I really like this place, it's got a really good chillaxed atmosphere.
Oakham - Bishops Farewell | 4.60 | | This was absolutely stunning. Light and extremely hoppy. Served at the perfect temperature as well. |

Debbie had taken over the reins of the car by the time we reached here. It was mid-afternoon and only a few people in, but the atmosphere was good. Glad to see some Hopdaemon on.
Hopdaemon - Incubus | 4.00 | | Dark brown and fruity. I like this beer, but it never seems to be the same twice. This was full of dark current fruit but lacked any real bitterness. Good without being great. |
Greene King - IPA | 3.60 | Not Tried
Wadworth - 6X | 4.10 | Not Tried

The pub was busy preparing for the arrival of a wedding party so the dinning area had been cordoned off. The bar area was busy and a large, loud, TV was showing the rugby.
Ventnor - Hippy High Ale | 4.40 | | A mid brown bitter. Basically it tasted of sherbet from start to finish. Quite pleasant |
Greene King - IPA | 3.60 | Not Tried
Wadworth - 6X | 4.10 | Not Tried

Has the feel of a hotel lobby for some reason. Friendly enough but a bit impersonal.
Archers - Blonde Biker | 4.00 | | Pale gold beer with soft mouth feel. Quite appley with a sharp bitter and slight peanut finish |
Archers - Slap & Tickle | 4.40 | | A best bitter. Good malt and slightly sickly syrupy hops. |
Greene King - IPA | 3.60 | Not Tried
Wadworth - 6X | 4.10 | Not Tried

Probably the pub I liked the most on our mini pub crawl. We ate here as well and the bar menu was fine and the service I though was very good. The bar is in the pub area to the left with plenty of seating for food in 2 rooms on the right.
Archers - Blonde Biker | 4.00 | | Very blond/pale gold colour with lasting white head. Blond woody beer. Could be some wheat in here. Citrus bite on hoppy end. Fairly typical summer beer of this style. OK, but a bit bleached. |
