Evening. A rarity now - a pub with long standing traditional licensees. Immediate feeling of inclusivity and mandatory conversation.

Quick visit on way to railway station. Despite the diminutive size of this endearing pub, a band was getting ready to perform.

The pub is found in Rugby, Warwickshire, CV21 3PU.

This traditional, former Marston's, free trade house has a warm welcome and real fire in winter, and provides the atmosphere to enjoy the changing guest ales, including a LocAle (usually Dow Bridge). Live acoustic music forms a large part of the weekly calendar of events. This 18th century building is one of the oldest in Rugby. Now a single room pub it was originally three tiny rooms and the boundaries are still clearly evident. Low ceiling adds to the feeling of cosiness. 6 handpumps sell 4 real ales and usually 2 ciders.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 10 different beers and tried 5 of them.
