Apart from a cosy separate room by the entance this large open plan pub full of breweriana in a side street just off the main drag.

Early Saturday evening, and the pub is crowded. Excellent place I thought. A 100 ales Beer Festival begins two days after my visit.

Excellent town centre pub in Little Church Street with a warm, cosy atmosphere, wooden seating, comfortable sofas, flagstone floors, open fireplace and an abundance of brewery memorabilia. Up to ten ales are offered (1 gravity dispensed) plus a superb selection of Belgian beers in addition to traditional cider and perry. Home cooked food is served seven days a week.
