Early evening before it became busy. The crowds seem to be next door anyway, in the Eastern Curve Gardens.

We walked here through the drizzle from the Hops & Glory. Quite busy, but room to stand at the bar.

Just a scattering of early evening customers, and to be honest it is a bit cold and a bit bleak in here without a crowd present.

New pub, still settling in. Rather chilly, needs some more heating. I think I was the only male customer not sporting a full beard. A good range of real ales available. We moved on to the Cock Tavern at Hackney Central, but I have lost my notes from that visit.
BeerABVScoreNotes
London Fields - Hackney Hopster4.20ExcellentRobustly-hopped pale ale.
Clarence & Fredericks - Black Obsidian5.00ExcellentBlack IPA, close to five stars.

The pub is found in Dalston, Greater London, E8 3DF.

A new pub, opened in November 2013 in (as you might guess) a former dance school premises in Dalston Lane. There are two high-ceilinged seating areas, in typical Antic distressed-décor style and with minimalist furnishings. Toilets are found up a long, steep staircase. Very handy for Dalston Junction railway station. Portobello took over from Antic here in 2020. Re-named 2023.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 17 different beers and tried 7 of them.
