A fine little pub with good music and interesting customers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
UnBarred (brewed at Two Tribes then later at Missing Link) - Jago Session IPA4.20AcceptableA very cloudy golden colour (cloudier than it should be I think). Sharp hop tastes and a bit yeasty.
Laine - Brighton (North Laine) - Doubloon4.20AcceptableA pale Golden Ale. Malt-dominated with a bit of a 'corn' taste.
Burning Sky - Aurora5.60Not Tried

Evening in "try somewhere new" mood. I wonder if skunk users realise they bring a body odour type smell in with them??
BeerABVScoreNotes
Dark Star - Wheat Purple4.20GoodWell balanced raspberry and bitterness
Hepworth - Sussex Pale Ale3.60Not Tried
Laine - Laine's Best4.00Not TriedPerhaps Laine's brewed (in one of its pubs) or perhaps the King Beer contracted one. Been caught out before so no go as no definite provenance stated on the clip

I was passing, peered in and spotted the Laine Best. Great little pub. Very gothic with lots of brass, dark wood and sealing wax ceilings. Good music too; Bell and Sebastian, occult rock, glam rock and general freaky grooves, man. It ain't Norville Rogers' malt shop that's for sure.
