Eight of us enjoyed the upstairs area for a while mid evening. The prices here continue to surprise: from 3.80 to £12.50 a pint - with their own Pale Ale (Another Brick), only 5.5% at a staggering £7.50 a pint. 13 cask and craft beers on the board.
Fell Uncharted at 4.0 was good but Roosters Scrambler also at 4.0 was better.
Fell - Ghyll (was 3.7%) | 3.40 | | Nothing special. |

Late evening - ground and first floors pleasantly busy. My friend commented that this was what pubs used to be like.
Fell - Ghyll (was 3.7%) | 3.40 | | A very well done golden at a low ABV |
Fell - Tinderbox IPA | 6.30 | Not Tried | Unfortunately the customer in front beat me to the last pint of this. Maybe Sunday. |

I nearly missed this place because it looks like a shop and is next door to a traditional pub. Fell brewery have done a good job here and I really like the place. A good crowd of regulars and friendly bar staff.
Fell - Tinderbox IPA | 6.30 | | A nightcap before heading towards my hotel across the road. |
Fell - Dark Mild | 3.50 | | A bit thin and unexciting. |
Burning Sky - Plateau (was 3.5%) | 3.40 | Not Tried
Almasty - Sipa | 4.00 | Not Tried
North - Pale NZ Chinook + Idaho 7 + Citra | 4.10 | Not Tried

Two evening visits either side of a very acceptable pizza in the nearby Italian.
The pub was busy, with a quite a few pints disappearing upstairs where the footie was on.
13 cask and keg beers on the blackboard from £3 to £10 a pint - they will never believe this down South.
Very enthusiastic manager/landlord who gave me a taster of the tenner ale from Denmark.
Pomona Island - APA | 5.30 | | A very fine APA |
To Øl - Black Malts And Body Salts | 9.90 | | Just a taster of this double, black, IPA from Denmark. Yummy - but at £10 a pint it should be very good. |
Fell - Session IPA | 4.50 | | On keg - didn’t notice that when I ordered and clearly a dead but fizzy beer. Great flavour though. |
Fell - Simcoe Ekuanot | 4.20 | | Unfiltered, fruity. |
