Quite possibly my first ever visit here. Bustling at around 7:30pm. Interesting that none of the cask beers on sale shout ‘Greene King’ on their clips.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Greene King - Napa Smith Brewery Pale Ale4.50ExcellentAn amber-coloured collaboration beer with a US brewery. A really good, hoppy, Pale Ale. Barely, if at all, has the Greene King house taste. I really enjoyed this – pleasure enhanced by the beer being in tip-top condition.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's)3.40Not Tried

Evening. First visit here for years. I do get annoyed to see a beer range which disguises its true provenance.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Belhaven - Herok & Howell's Tantallon Sunrise IPA5.00GoodVery bitter - not too bad. After a frothy awful short measure the head soon disappeared. The clue to Belhaven is the Dunbar on the pumpclip
Greene King - Ale Fresco4.30Not TriedRan out
Greene King - Hardys & Hansons Olde Trip4.30Not Tried
Greene King - The Trinity3.90Not TriedA house ale with no mention of the brewery of origin on the clip

Website.

The pub is found in Borough, Central London, SE1 1JX.

When first listed here this pub was listed on the Greene King website as one of its but apparently managed by a pubco called Parched Ltd. No Greene King branding in the pub but the clue is in the beer range from that stable. Formerly the Hole in the Wall there is a large interior located right next door to Borough Underground station in Borough High Street. 4 handpumps on the bar counter. Fuller's bought the pub in 2019 and reopened it as a managed pub in September 2020 following a major refurbishment seeing the introduction of the St George's (function) Room on the first floor.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 7 different beers and tried 2 of them.
