Early evening visit and great to see this splendid pub looking in good shape – it had become very run down when I lived in this area many years ago. Plenty of trade and a good selection of beers tonight.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hammerton - N14.10ExcellentAn excellent Pale Ale.
Signature Brew - Red Wedge4.70AcceptableFor some reason I had thought this was a Red IPA. It isn’t, it’s a sweet, malty Red Ale.

In Grand Parade, Green Lanes this is one of the grandest of all pubs built during the great pub boom in the closing years of the 19th century. After years as a run-down pub it was given a careful refurbishment in 2002 and early 2003 which has returned it to its former glory. The pub is on the CAMRA inventory of outstanding unspoilt interiors of National importance.

We have visited this pub twice, seen 8 different beers and tried 4 of them.
