12:15 - 15:00 Second visit for lunch in two days. This time with two sons, a daughter-in-law, and a grand-daughter. More beer from the beer festival residue. Good village pub atmosphere.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Oakham - Green Devil IPA6.00GoodAs good as the day before
Golden Triangle - Citropolois3.80Good
Redwell - Bullards No.1 East Coast Pale Ale4.20GoodReally good condition for a beer tapped eight days ago. Still a tight head, clear as a bell and enough bubbles appearing in the glass whilst I drank it to show that it was still working.
Golden Triangle - Bonny's Gold4.00AcceptableStarting to show its age but still a reasonable pint.

13:00 Lunch with one of my sons. The beer festival beers are still available. Help yourself £1.50 a pint. Surprisingly good condition after a week. The dramatic drop in temperature has obviously helped. My food order for sirloin went wrong so I got two 12 oz rump steaks by way of compensation. Managed both somehow.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Golden Triangle - Citropolois3.80ExcellentA depth of flavour I haven't experienced with this beer before. A week may be a long time in politics but for this beer it is obviously of benefit.
Grain - Oak3.80GoodClear as a bell with reasonable condition.
Mauldons - Blackberry Porter4.80GoodStill a little sweet.
Oakham - Green Devil IPA6.00GoodNot a lot of condition but full of taste.
29 Aug 2015 (HSB)
12:15 to 14:00 Bank Holiday Beer Festival. 37 beers and 8 ciders. The beers were being served from a shed across the car park and outside stalls were set up to serve Pimms, paninis and cup cakes. Fairly quiet when we arrived but was getting busy when we left. The three of us had nine pints between us and the consensus was most were lacking condition.

15:00 My first visit here since 2003. A Polish chicken was wandering around the car park and came to give us the once over. New Landlord had been here three weeks and we had an interesting discussion about his plans for the future. The highlight was probably Tim and the Landlord singing excerpts from Brain Salad Surgery.

The pub is found in Banham, Norfolk, NR16 2BY.

Located on the road to Banham Zoo and some way out of the village the pub stands behind a cottage which was formerly the pub. The pub is surprisingly spacious with three distinct drinking areas. The large room at the rear contains two pool tables. The pub is noted for selling country wines and a large selection of bottles of these stand on a shelf behind the bar. These were formerly dispensed from earthenware crocks but the seals deteriorated. There is a Norfolk Twister game on the ceiling beam opposite the bar and Ring the Bull by the fireplace.

We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 41 different beers and tried 9 of them.
