I came in here to recover from my recent Wetherspoon experience. Busy here too, but comfortable and welcoming. And they were playing some nice music. Good to see a Three Sods beer on the bar, as their taproom does not seem currently to be functioning.

I literally had to walk past this pub on the way home, so popped in for one, which soon became two. Very busy in here, and it’s good to know that the Cockney race has not died out altogether.

I really just popped in for a quick one having not been here for ages, but the beer was so good that I decided to stay and watch the first half of the West Ham game on TV (I need to emphasise here that I am absolutely not a fan of the Essex club in question).

The pub is found in Bow, Greater London, E3 3AA.
Pub established in the 1860s and these days convenient for Bow Church DLR station. Has cashed in on its ‘Cockney’ name in the past, although the actual Bow bells are of course several miles away on Cheapside. Traditional in appearance, there is a single, carpeted bar, with a pool table towards the rear. Said to be haunted by a ‘phantom flusher’ that makes a visit to the ladies toilet an unpredictable experience.
