Just popped in here for a pint because a. I had not been here and b. the timings of trains/buses didn't work to be at The Butcher's for opening. It's a decent pub where I was quite happy to have a pint reading the paper.

Served a bit too cold, but pretty faultless. Bit of biscuit on the malt and a little less hoppy.

Came to see what it was like. Fairly empty with a handfull of wedding guests sitting at the bar. Lots of copper kettles and the like hanging from the ceiling and bright spot lights.

Stong Harvey's yeast aroma with strong bitterness on finish.
A large multiroomed pub found just outside the main Herne village on the Canterbury Road. Reopened in November 2019 with a new name and in the guise of a gastropub but it does have 4 handpumps.
We have visited this pub 5 times, seen 5 different beers and tried 2 of them.
