13:00 Having suffered the rolling road block that is the M6 we came here for a welcome break. Good choice of beer, friendly service, and excellent food. I made a mistake and ordered what I thought was a small selection of bar snacks. Having worked my way through a gargantuan board of food I was only one wafer thin mint away from disaster.

Manor house dating back to 1660. Opened as a Brunning & Price house in 2012 after extensive renovation. As you would expect from a pub in this chain high class interior with lots of original features. Various seating areas with the emphasis on dining. Extensive gardens.
