I think this is just the Greyfriar judging by the signs outside. Friday afternoon and busy getting extremely busy later on. Many beers were running out and being replaced, it was difficult to keep up with what was, and was no longer available because of the crowds at the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Siren Craft - Liquid Mistress Red IPA5.80ExceptionalA new cask on to replace something that ran out, absolutely superb.
Bristol Beer Factory - Fortitude4.00Excellent
Mad Squirrel (formerly Red Squirrel) - Arán Soda Bread Red4.90GoodI had two of these, a very good and interesting red ale brewed in collaboration with Toast Ales. Waste bread makes up 30% of the grain bill. My first pint was very enjoyable but the second one very much end of cask. It was taken off sale soon afterwards.

Mid-afternoon visit before taking a train to London. As now seems routine to me here, I was the only customer.

Late afternoon and quiet. I remembered to ask for a CAMRA discount.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Binghams - Viennese Whirl5.00ExcellentA bit of a rule breaker. A pale beer, with heavy malt flavours and tasty US hops.
Derventio - Barbarian5.50AcceptableI didn’t greatly care for this Stout, which was in rather flat condition.
Arbor Ales - Limelight4.50AcceptableHard not to think of Lager and Lime when drinking this – although it did go with the weather.

Time for a quick one before the train to London.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harbour - New Zealand Gold4.40GoodAmber-coloured. Oddly, it seems to have no aroma at all (hidden beneath a creamy head?). Hop flavours also a little more subdued than expected.
