Pleased to see that beers for sale included products from two breweries within sight of the front door – Anspach & Hobday and Southwark.

The pub is found in Bermondsey, Central London, SE1 2HH.

Present in Druid Street since at least 1839, the pub we see today is a twentieth century rebuild as an estate pub. Having looked rather forlorn for a while, it closed in January 2015 only to re-open in November 2016 refurbished and reinvigorated. It now specialises in London-brewed beer and London-distilled gin. There are pavement tables at the front and three distinct seating areas around a central bar. Home-made pizzas are sold. Four handpumps on the bar.

We have visited this pub 6 times, seen 14 different beers and tried 7 of them.
