It was heaving due to the Herne Bay carnival. All drinks were being served in plastic glasses. The rear of the pub was empty so I sat there.

I was running errands in town again so today's lucky recipient of my 3 minute visit was the Divers Arms. There was only one other customer in and he was sitting at the bar playing some kind of domino and dice game with the landlord. There was a pool table at the rear and the juke box was playing an eclectic mix which included some Kate Bush and some 1980's electro-pop. Interesting pub; not sure what to make of it.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70GoodGood condition with a quite bitter bite to it that overpowered everything else. Got a hint of melon from it. Actually I quite enjoyed it.

The pub is found in Herne Bay, Kent, CT6 5JQ.

A single roomed pub in Central Parade. with a curved central bar. Located on the sea front. The Divers Arms, as the name suggests, has a feel reflecting its maritime heritage and its situation right on the seafront. It was built in early Victorian days, allegedly on the proceeds of one of the first divers. Today an old brass diving helmet (first invented in neighbouring Whitstable) is one of the several fascinating nautical artefacts and local memorabilia on display. There is even a smugglers’ cave tucked away in the cellar! Outside courtyard area.

We have visited this pub 4 times, seen 6 different beers and tried 4 of them.
