Mid afternoon welcoming locals pub just out of the town centre. Only one of the many TV screens on at an acceptably low volume. Busy upstairs so I sat in the empty superb cellar bar and enjoyed my pint.

In Earle Street, a pub in formerly owned British Rail property on a hillside. Open plan upstairs with three distinct drinking areas on two levels. Large L shaped room downstairs. The West Coast mainline railway runs at the bottom of the garden.
