After an afternoon in Cologne we took the train which takes about 40 minutes back to Dusseldorf. I rather liked this place, much like Fruh, huge and you just have to find a couple of seats and let the beer come to you. Very friendly people on our table even if I don't speak any German.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Uerige - Alt4.70ExcellentMade with an ale yeast and served direct from the wooden barrels. Lovely brown amber, thick lasting beige head. Some hop malt on aroma. But the hop on the finish is excellent. Thats good in the mouth, but better hop on finish. The bitterness is really superb. Some toffee in mouth, but the hop finish is stunningly tasty. Balanced, but good. Herby hop finish.
