A scenic walk up a hill and along side roads which afforded a view of the surrounding hills around Redhill, meant we got here just before mid-afternoon. It was the busiest I have seen it on my third visit here with the single bar almost at capacity. A warm welcome from the barmaid and prompt service. It was another delight of this visit, this wet-led community pub.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Dorking - Red India Ale5.00GoodPresented with good head and lacing which stayed for most of my half that I was taking slowly at 5%. A malty first hit on this local Surrey red ale from just outside Dorking with a dryish and spicy mouthfeel. It had a malty, mixed with fruity, finish lingering.

Busy for my early afternoon visit to this pleasant community pub with 4 guest real ales on. Our party of 3 took a more scenic route along the backstreets, with some great views afforded by climbing up a bit along these streets, and in coming from The Garland. We were met with a friendly welcome and prompt service.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Pig & Porter - Jumping Frog4.20GoodVery good head and lacing. A first hit of fruity, hoppiness. A dry and lingeringly fruity aftertaste.

Iron Pier - A Pier Between Friends4.90Not TriedAn autumnal red ale new to me that I have yet to try.

2nd visit of the day's pubs-crawl. Not far from The Garland but a slightly steep hill to climb up on the last leg. Arrived thirsty on this very mild early afternoon and to be met by a friendly welcome and prompt service. A community pub that is seeking to now buy the premises, it was full of character and charm in this elegant Victorian-looking establishment and started to fill up for the rugby as I left.

Mid afternoon friendly welcome and quiet just a couple of other small groups dotted about in the spacious garden area. We sat at the mid level shaded area where orders were taken via a QR code link and arrived shortly after.

Mid afternoon fairly busy and friendly welcome in this community run proper drinkers pub. We chatted to the knowledgeable barmaid about the local pub scene. Tasters offered without prompting.
