First pub of the 2025 Winter Warmer Tour. I'd been to Rainham loads of time when I belonged to a club that met just down the road from this pub, but I'd never been in. It wasn't a Spoons back then. It's surprisingly big, and at 11:40 on a Saturday morning it was pretty busy too.

My first visit to this pub. I had read a review by an anonymous reporter in the local media that was rather uncomplimentary about this pub but it appeared that he just wanted to tell the world that it did not have a car park and that he could not understand why a pub should have a train departure screen inside it even though it is adjacent to a busy railway station. This is a very nice Spoons.

The pub is found in Rainham, Kent, ME8 7SF.
Wetherspoon's pub in Rainham town centre opposite the railway station in Station Road, first noted as the Temperance coffee house & hotel in 1881, granted a licence and known as The Railway Hotel from 1902. Due to poor trade the doors were shut in 2012. Massively extended and refurbished it reopened in October 2019 as a Wetherspoon house. 12 handpumps in two banks of 6.
