| Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | ![]() | Very good head and lacing presented and lasting on this Lewes-brewed Sussex bitter. A dry bitter first hit. A hoppy bitterness rising from a blend of four different local hop varieties. A fruity note bobbing up with hints of banana and floral spice and a caramelly bitter hoppiness sailing downwards aided by a touch of Maris Otter and Crystal malt. |

The pub is found in Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 2AB.
Behind the police station, the Punch & Judy pub at 11 St Stephens Street appears to be Victorian and nestled in a little terraced street no distance from the centre of Tonbridge. Internally, it features exposed brickwork, dark wooden beams, tile flooring and wooden tables. There is a raised upper rear room with stained-glass windows that is reminiscent of a chapel and leads through to a small outside terrace. A community pub with live music performed. Not short of a tv screen or two with a large drop-down TV screen along with other smaller TVs showing sports. There is an old-fashioned juke box, a pool table and Shove Ha'penny, a traditional English pub game where players use their palm to shove old halfpenny coins up a board, aiming to land them in scoring "beds". A local Tonbridge brewery beer is often on and it serves Harvey's Sussex Best Bitter as was the case on a visit in January 2026.
We have visited this pub once, seen 1 beer and tried it.
