Tasting Summary
These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

| Hogan Sampling | | 04 Apr 2026 | Very good head and lacing and lasting all the way on this golden IPA from Kent’s East Peckham, north-east of Tonbridge and directly north of Paddock Wood. A dry fruited first hit with fruit, herb and spice all clamouring over my taste buds. A hoppy fruitiness rising from its Kent-grown Target and Epic hops with citrus and hard fruits in the flavours. A biscuity maltiness winning over with hints of caramel. A dry hoppy fruitiness sailing out from being dry-hopped with English Cascade for added potency and all aided by its live yeast originating from the historic Barclay Perkins brewery in Southwark*. Served in very good nick. *The Barclay Perkins Brewery, also known as the Anchor Brewery, in Southwark, London, was once the largest brewery in the world as located over a massive 12-acre site between Southwark Bridge and London Bridge. By 1809, it produced over 260,000 barrels each year. In 1955 the brewery merged with Courage, production ceased in the 1970s and most of its buildings were demolished in 1981. But its yeast lives on as does this former the brewery's tap dating from the early 1800s, and now called the Anchor and owned by Greene King and located at Bankside, neighbouring the replica of Shakespeare's Globe. |

| Hogan Sampling | | 17 Jun 2025 | Third night on for this India Pale Ale from East Peckham, north-east of Tonbridge, and not now holding its head and lacing and so needed a decant or two from the start but this little helped. A moreishly dry oily first hit. A pleasant fruity hoppiness rising up and a hoppy dryness lasting. |

| Hogan Sampling | | 29 Apr 2025 | Reasonable head and lacing to start with on this Tonbridge IPA from East Peckham in Kent and now on its fourth day. A dry oily first hit. A hoppy kick in the mouthfeel from those fruit-based infusions in the hops and a dryness living on. |
