Ray | | 24 Jul 2013 | This how it's described: "The larger than life Highland IPA, an IPA with a massive American influence. Powerful Amarillo bitterness exploding with late citrus flavours from Centennial hops and grapefruit from Perle hops." The reality is rather different. Dominated by caramel/buttertscotch which could be smelled from feet away this beer was characterised by an almost complete absence of hops. Citrus? Grapefruit? Wishful thinking. |

McGargle | | 15 Jun 2011 | Pours a copper colour, sweet on the nose. Predominantly sweet (treacle toffee) in the mouth with limited hopping. Cloying finish. Not an IPA, could have been Wild Cat. |

McGargle | | 29 Jul 2009 | Seasonal ale brewed to 5.0% ABV. Light bodied and amber with lasting tight white head. Enjoyable with dry finish but could have done with bolder hopping. Didn't drink it's strength. |
