Tasting Summary
These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Stephen Harris | | 07 May 2012 | A near black, porter style beer with plenty of chocolate malt and roast barley tastes. So clearly not 'Crusader' - unless the recipe has changed radically. |

Andrew | | 29 Dec 2006 | Pale gold in colour. Slightly sickly sweet sharp bitterness to it with a touch of malt. |

Andrew | | 22 Jul 2006 | I saved my kidneys the trouble and chucked this straight down the bog |
Ian | | 22 Jul 2006 | Hazy gold colour with thin white head. Odd aroma, apple sour. Quite fruity in mouth. Sour. Odd. Bit vinegary. Had to pour this one too. |

Charles | | 20 Feb 2006 | This was flat and too cold. Yuk. Mind you it didn't seem to be putting the others off. |
4.40% ABV.
Ambery matly brew but a bit sulphorous which I don't like and which slows me down. Casual drinking acquaintance helped herself to a sip and screwed up her face..
