These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

This Ancient Boro', Tenterden, Kent

WittendenGood09 Nov 2019 Listed as 4.4%abv today.Dark and grainy.No cloves , as I'd half expected,but background fruit.

The Bell & Jorrocks, Frittenden, Kent

WittendenGood25 May 2013 Dark and bittersweet.Roast. I've not had much exposure to wheat beer, so didn't know what to expect. Pleasant, though.

The Wellington, Birmingham, West Midlands

Philip PirripGood16 Nov 2012 Dark and bitter

The Sussex Arms, Twickenham, Greater London

Martin the MildmanAcceptable23 Oct 2012 Probably not a wise decision to purchase this as it was a double whammy of crystal and wheat malt. Net result was a strange mix of sweet cloying flavours with a sourness in the finish. My score 12/20.
