Tasting Summary

These comments are the opinion of the individual reviewer and represent what they thought of the beer on a particular day in a particular pub. If a review is less favourable, it may be because the beer suffered somewhere in the supply chain between them and the brewery.

Martin the MildmanExcellent16 Nov 2010 Slightly old sample here so a slighly sharper edge to the finish but still packed full of chocolate flavours. My score 17/20.

AlenomoreAcceptable22 Oct 2010 As expected of this type and at this strength, a sickly sweet concoction, very much like the Belgium fruli's. Had a pint, but I would not reccommend it, to anyone, but a lady?

Martin the MildmanExcellent30 Oct 2010 Dark brown, very chocolatey, but underneath the base beer is a mild, with low hoppiness and good maltiness. Aroma is chocolate and this dominates right through to the finish. A classic. My score 18/20.
