Early evening visit and some of the worst elements of City culture are present. Luckily they all shove off home after a while and the pub takes on a nicer atmosphere.

In here at around 8:30pm, as the after-work crowds were beginning to thin out. Beer over £4 a pint, so I played my joker and had this pint for free, cashing in a Nicholson’s loyalty card (buy four, get one free).

Crowded in the after-work period, with many people sitting outside, despite the appreciably cooler weather today. A standard Nicholson’s place really.
