Farmers market and time to wait in the bus popped in for a couple. Friendly well run spoons with a downstairs loo.

WharfeBank - Treacle Toffee Stout4.40Exceptionallovely beer was hard work calling it a day on two pints. Black with a clotted cream coloured head that lasted really well, rich mocha notes with black treacle on the finish lets the kids go trick or treating I will stay in the pub with this.

In the High Street this was once Thomas Goward's grocery shop. Founded in 1810, Goward's traded on this site until 1910, weighing out provisions and cutting sugar by hand from a conical-shaped sugar loaf. Long narrow 'Spoon's, toilets at same level as bar. Arced bar counter with 6 handpumps.
