A visit to the Saloon Bar of this pub, the landlady told me that she is holding a beer festival this coming weekend.

This pub has new tenants who have been there for about one week. The landlord seems to be keen on ales, and we had a good chat about beers and pubs. There were some welcome nibbles on the bar including peanuts in their shells.

Late afternoon and quiet, no other customers as yet. Despite this the sole beer on offer was in top form and well looked after.

About 4pm on a Friday, we were the only customers. We had a good chat with the barman, who was very keen on beer.

This pub has recently changed hands, and I heard that the new landlord is very keen on his ales. It is one of the pubs that has ordered Little Belter from the Shepherd Neame's Pilot Brewery, but unfortunately I was too early to sample this product.
