12:15 First stop on a crawl of Stamford. Very busy but the nine of us managed to get a table together. Much discussion amongst us about the precipitous staircase to the upper floor. Before we left someone did fall down them.

I’ve never set foot in Stamford before and am very impressed with the town. This is a wonderful pub; amazing to think it was only converted to pub use in 2007, it looks like it has been here for centuries. Quiet and peaceful at noon.
