Mid-afternoon. Table service, with the outside area only in use. We are lucky that a table has just been vacated and we wait a while whilst it is scrubbed down for us. I did not note the full beer availability.

Two visits:morning and early evening.Much keg was being consumed on my second appearance,when I was intrigued by the prospect of an elderly Ticker blocking the narrow bar whilst peering at the keg taps and rating three glasses of 'Grapefruit ale'.

This is a version of the ginger and vanilla Imperial Stout that I drank yesterday; in this case the beer has been steeped over roasted coffee beans. It’s excellent, but I found it a bit too coffee-dominated and preferred the straight version. |

The pub is found in Southwark, Central London, SE1 9AG.
Small pub on the north side of Borough Market run by the same people who own the Utobeer bottled beer stall in the market itself. The bar has 3 hand pulls serving UK cask beers and 6 taps supplying continental and world beers. An extensive bottle beer selection is also available from the fridges behind the bar. The bar has stripped wood floors, pale beige walls and a historic Pilkington glass ceiling. A decked patio provides extra space and seating. Definitely an excellent addition to the Southwark beer scene.
