Busy on a sultry July Saturday evening. A great improvement on some of this pub's recent iterations. We sat at a wobbly table in the kitchen before moving to a bourgeois table in the front room.

Recently re-opened and completely transformed inside very much for the better. A good welcome and a good selection of beers, it was unusual to see an ash tray on our table (a collectable item advertising Skol lager and definitely not to be used). There was a house beer called Ramblinns Hookers Hooch at 4%ABV unfortunately I was unable to find out where it is brewed. They also do another house beer called Lookers Liquor at 4.2% which was not available at the time of this visit. Looker is a local name for a shepherd.

I've never been here before. What a nice pub. There seemed to be 2 halves and was full of sturdy tables. We sat outside and enjoyed the warm breeze and the views across the fields and of the Church opposite. The next beer coming on was chalked-up as Dark Star American Pale Ale.

It had been a manic week at work and all I wanted to do was sit in a pub with a newspaper and a few pints. The weather was stunning, so I cycled down to this pub, sat outside with the church bell practise going on across the road and drank Harvey's and did the Independent Super Su Doku. God, I was happy.

It was Friday evening and I hadn't been to a pub all week and I was suffering withdrawal symptoms. So I came from work via the train from Folkestone to Ashford to Ham Street and cycled up to Warehorne. As I was free wheeling down to the pub I recognised the 2 people sat outside, Mette who I work with and her fiance. We sat and chatted and drank beer.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter4.00ExcellentMaybe not hoppy enough to be absolutely perfect, but each pint disappeared in about 2 mouthfuls, so it must have been good.
Hopdaemon - Skrimshander IPA4.50AcceptableDefinitely not as good as it used to be. Earthy hops, but its lost that raspberry malty fruity edge.

Here for Sunday roast with my sister and mother. The lamb was plentiful and superb. Lovely pub with attractive old metal signs on the walls.
