Late evening visit. Rarely on my radar but thought I'd make a swansong visit. Now in a row of boarded up properties. Walked in but had closed at 10pm so assume has given up the ghost as the demolition ball beckons.

Apparently Monday night is a quiet night. Not here – 18 cask beers available and standing room only.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Twickenham (also uses sub-brand Old Hands) - Mosaic Pale3.20ExceptionalI’ve enjoyed recently a few golden beers hopped with Mosaic and this one might be the best of the lot. Dry-hopping gives masses of fruity hop flavours and there is an extra dimension too from the addition of ginger.
Dorset Brewing Company - Tank Top4.80ExcellentAmber in colour. Intense US hop flavours on a solid malt base. Really good I thought.

12:00 Lunch stop. Almost every customer had luggage, the pub obviously makes a good waiting room. Most tables had reserved signs from 18:00 so probably best avoided on Friday evenings if you want a seat.

Late afternoon to mid evening work re-union and birthday group. Although always an impressive range of real ales here, on this visit almost every beer I had was lacklustre, hazy and did not possess the whizzbang moreishness I expect. When a large group has settled in it is difficult to get them to move on.
