Mid evening and very busy nearly all tables taken with diners. As it was a warm and pleasant evening we sat at one of the many free outside tables at the front.

Late afternoon visit and much talk about Shepherd Neame taking over Village Green Restaurants. The general feeling is that they are not going to change a winning formula.

Lunchtime til late afternoon visit. Good to see Mexican Garlic Bread back on the menu after my previous visit however I decided to opt for the Quesadilla which was superb. Fairly busy with a mix of drinkers at the bar and seated diners.

Late afternoon, I was tempted to try some Mexican Garlic Bread but managed to resist it, no doubt Jason would have talked me in to it had he been with me. The pub was fairly quiet at the time of my visit.

Early evening on a nice day, the outside area was very busy with people enjoying some nice weather and a fair crowd inside. A much busier pub than it used to be.

My first visit since refurbishment and it's still kept it's pub atmosphere unlike others in this chain which are restaurants with bars. Lunch time and very quiet, more staff than customers. I drew attention that Mexican Garlic Bread is no longer available on the menu and the chef kindly made one especially for me.

This pub has now re-opened as the Swan and Dog, and has been trading again for just under a fortnight. There was still some building work going on outside but the internal works seem pretty well complete. In addition to the beers that I have listed there was a house beer from Old Dairy called Old Dairy Swan & Dog at 3.8%abv.

I was the only customer at the time of my visit. This pub is to be sold by auction in early September and is currently being run by a holding manager who told me that there have been several visits by people who hope to take it on as a pub/restaurant although he expects a period of temporary closure following the auction.
