Fortunately we had booked a table here, they were fully booked and were having to turn people away who wanted food. Drinkers were welcome of course. Very good friendly service, an enjoyable visit and some good food to accompany our beers.

Just after mid-day and doing a very good trade with both wet and food sales. Staff were busy but attentive and found time to talk to me about beer.

Early Sunday evening - busy in the bar. Went to Great Chart with the intention of ticking off the Little Black Dog from my wish list - but it was closed. One of the locals in the Swan told me the Little Black Dog is closed at the moment but hopes to be up and running again before Christmas.

Late afternoon to late evening, quieter than expected so we took over the bar area and chatted to the bar staff. Mexican Garlic Bread not on the menu however ChrisE made a special request to the chef who kindly knocked some up for us and it was delicious as ever..

Friday afternoon, most of the customers were in the garden area, the interior was fairly quiet but I expect this was the lull before the storm as this place gets very busy with diners later on.

The pub is found in Great Chart, Kent, TN23 3AN.
Formerly The Swan a pleasant setting with attractive garden drinking areas. Located in The Street. Lots of food emphasis. Name was changed to add a reference to the former name of the other pub in the village, Black Dog. Reported in November 2016 as sold by Village Green Restaurants to Shepherd Neame.
We have visited this pub 23 times, seen 17 different beers and tried 13 of them.
