02 Oct 2023 (Magnus Greel)
Lunchtime and busy with mostly drinkers which is always good to see. After being on my 'to do list' far too long have finally got round to visiting and pleased I have.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Green Hop (2023) | 4.80 | | Here we go again with the green hop nonsense. Totally meaningless to the casual drinker however this was an excellent enjoyable pint. |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
Hogs Back - Tongham TEA (previously T.E.A.) | 4.20 | Not Tried
27 Jul 2023 (Jack William)
Lunchtime cycle meet. 8 of us plus a walking group - great to see a village local this busy in the week.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - She Sells Sea Shells | 4.70 | | Couldn’t fault this. |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
Wantsum - Black Prince | 3.90 | Not Tried

Otter - Ale | 4.50 | Not Tried

23 Apr 2023 (Jack William)
Sunday lunchtime cycle. Wet weather, good few locals around the bar. Had been a busy Saturday night apparently with live music. Had a rather murky pint of Wantsum’s Coronation Session at 4.0
Shivering Sands - Jolly Boys Ale-Ting | 4.00
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
12 Mar 2023 (Jack William)

29 Dec 2022 (Jack William)
Last Potterers meet of the year - about 10 of us sampling some very well kept beers.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | | Ridiculously pale body but delicious. |

11 Dec 2022 (Jack William)
Despite the freezing weather I cycled here for a lunchtime pint. Filled up quickly from 12 with drinkers and diners. Fire on the go thankfully. Small dog in a Santa suit; talk of football and snow in Whitfield as it started raining here. Rain turned to wet snow on my way home - I do love an old-fashioned Sunday lunchtime pint.
Oakham - Citra | 4.20 | | |
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
St Austell - Tribute | 4.20 | Not Tried
25 Aug 2022 (Jack William)
Thursday cycle meet. I like this pub and the changing beer selection. Very friendly staff, shame that it’s difficult to get a full pint without asking for a top up.
Tonbridge - Easy Street Pale | 3.90 | | A delicious session pale. |
Mad Cat - Platinum Blonde (previously Meaney's Platinum Blonde Ale) | 4.20
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
31 Mar 2022 (Jack William)
Cycled here in wintry showers for a cycle meet… senior member of the group, Brian, was 85 today. I was the only mug that cycled! Two good log fires on the go at lunchtime, good number of customers in, mainly drinkers.
Dark Star - Hophead was 3.8% (some has also been brewed by Fuller's) | 3.40
Harvey's - Sussex Best Bitter | 4.00 | Not Tried
Brains - The Rev James Original | 4.50 | Not Tried
