Lunchtime - another cycling meet. Good to see the beers change here. Pleasant session, good feel to this pub.

Lunchtime cycle meet. About ten of us taking over the front bar - we were made very welcome.

Two of us came here for a late lunch. We had a reservation and were offered inside or garden seating. The garden was fairly busy so we chose to sit in the restaurant part of this pub. There had been a problem in the kitchen and we noticed a considerable number of people returning meals and complaining of waiting times. We probably did very well by avoiding the 1pm rush as our food (and beer of course) was excellent.

Late morning visit, a really nice pub, just what a village local should be like. Fairly quiet at this time of day but there was one chap practicing his darts and a group of ladies having coffees. It was nice to see bar billiards here.

Mid afternoon. Some eaters plus two (mature) drinkers sitting at the bar playing with their phones. I took the opportunity of counting the pewter tankards on display - 44, is this a record? Then sauntered in the garden in the sunshine - it is a decent size and set well back from the busy road.

Mid afternoon bus break en route from Minster to Canterbury. Busy. Disappointed that we had to ask for all 4 pints to be topped up.

Mid afternoon. Four or five drinkers in the main bar. Goodys being delivered. Nice feel to it.

A really attractive pub this one. Exactly what I want from a village pub; low beams, nooks, crannies, worn wood, deep rich-green furnishings. If I still lived in Wingham I'd be here a lot.

St Patrick's day just after 5. Very busy with diddly diddly music from a group of 5 strings giving it their all. Good craic I believe is the correct description.
