Late evening visit primarily to use the toilet after a long bus journey but they were still serving so I had a couple of pints and stayed until after midnight closing.

Absolutely heaving, probably about 100 people in here tonight, the only way that I could get to the toilets was to exit from the West side door, walk along the road and enter the pub from the East side. A good friendly atmosphere and a 1960s discotheque.

I came here to sit and enjoy a few pints and avoid the trick or treating muggers who plague anyone trying to have a peaceful night in, unfortunately I got it wrong and the pub became full of noisy children and their parents, I escaped on a bus to the town centre after one pint.
