I came here to sit and enjoy a few pints and avoid the trick or treating muggers who plague anyone trying to have a peaceful night in, unfortunately I got it wrong and the pub became full of noisy children and their parents, I escaped on a bus to the town centre after one pint.

I was driven out of my house by the noise from a band playing for a so called beer festival close to my house, as far as I could see there were hardly any customers and the band's sole purpose was to annoy the neigbours as it appeared to me that there were very few customers there, after touring the Ashford area finding most pubs near empty I popped in here an found the place heaving. Clive has obviously learned a thing or two in his 27+ years running this pub.

Without doubt the liveliest pub that I have visited tonight, various groups of people enjoying a drink and a good number watching Arsenal v Manchester United on the box.

Late evening, Bat and Trap was being played in the Church Yard opposite and the pub filled up as soon as the game finished. Sharps Doom Bar was being offered at £2.50 while stocks last.
