First visit for many a year and pleased that this wonderful pub stir remains unchanged, full of character a good pint of Master Brew and excellent Bangers n Mash.

Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter3.70ExcellentIn a world full of over hopped, DDH, unfined Mango infused citrus IPAs at 9.5% and all that nonsense etc... this was excellent and exactly what I wanted a nice dry hoppy ale with a nice malt finish. In other words, a pint of Bitter.

Probably the best Sheps pub one can visit, retaining a proper oldy worldy feel with the smell of a coal fire to add to the atmosphere. We sat in the front bar with another customer discussing the music of Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark.

Shepherd Neame - Bishops Finger5.00ExcellentI've not seen this in a Sheps pub for ages and it didn't disappoint.

We sat in one of the little snugs and enjoyed the wonderful surroundings but hated being forced to listen to Heart FM on the pub's radio.

On a long bike ride from Broadstairs to Faversham and this was our first stop-off after finding out we couldn't get on a brewery tour. Love the character of the place, just a shame the beer is so mundane.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Whitstable Bay Premium Ale4.10GoodIf forced to criticise this beer I'd say it was a tad too sweet but it was actually pretty enjoyable.

Evening trip with a local. Very welcoming and cosy in the back bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Shepherd Neame - Double Stout4.00GoodTasting notes describe as a magnificent example of a classic double stout delivering a velvety-smooth palate of dry, burnt flavours - complemented by roast, cocoa and coffee notes. Black, creamy and delicious. I felt initial euphoria in the glass subsided a little as pint went down
