Second pub on our crawl made busier when we arrived.

| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
08 Jan 2015 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening in the atmospheric front room.
| Shepherd Neame - Bishops Finger | 5.00 | | Too malty for me but a beer in good nick |

| Shepherd Neame - The Faversham Steam Brewery - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | Not Tried | |
10 Jul 2013 (Blair)
On a long bike ride from Broadstairs to Faversham and this was our first stop-off after finding out we couldn't get on a brewery tour. Love the character of the place, just a shame the beer is so mundane.
| Shepherd Neame - Whitstable Bay Pale Ale | 3.90 | | If forced to criticise this beer I'd say it was a tad too sweet but it was actually pretty enjoyable. |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
25 Jun 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening - latish. Sat in the iconic small front bar.
| Shepherd Neame - Mild | 3.50 | | Nutty. Brewed, I understand, on the main brewery plant |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
03 Apr 2013 (Philip Pirrip)
Evening trip with a local. Very welcoming and cosy in the back bar.
| Shepherd Neame - Double Stout | 4.00 | | Tasting notes describe as a magnificent example of a classic double stout delivering a velvety-smooth palate of dry, burnt flavours - complemented by roast, cocoa and coffee notes. Black, creamy and delicious. I felt initial euphoria in the glass subsided a little as pint went down |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
23 Feb 2013 (Andrew)
Love the interior of this pub. Sat with Ian in the back bar. Give me the papers and could have stayed all day.
| Shepherd Neame - Amber Ale | 4.50 | | Good condition |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
16 Dec 2012 (Eddie)
13:00 visit I have not been to this pub for a few years but its one of my favorite pubs in the town of Faversham. I love the small bars and the nic nacs plus has some wonderful local characters :)
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | | Nice example of this dry hoppy bitter :)
|
| Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale) | 4.20 | Not Tried | |
28 Aug 2012 (Philip Pirrip)
2045 hours visit. Only one in the atmospheric front corner vault. Lovely old photograph shows this as physically pretty much unchanged for longer than I can remember.
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | | Held a very poor head making one wonder if Sheps still encourages some houses to use cask breather |
| Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale) | 4.20 | Not Tried | |
09 Mar 2012 (Blair)
Recommended to come here by a drinker in the Elephant and we were glad we did. Fantastic interior with 3 separate bar areas, we sat in the saloon bar.
| Exmoor (now brewed by Hogs Back) - Ale | 3.80 | | Bit too sweet but still a reasonable pint. |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | |
02 May 2009 (Andrew)
Such a nice interior that we had to come in. We sat in the saloon bar on our own and admired the chamber pots on the ceiling jostling with the hops.
| Shepherd Neame - Early Bird | 4.30 | | Much better than the one at the Anchor earlier. Fresh and zingy. |
| Shepherd Neame - Master Brew Bitter | 3.70 | Not Tried | Tony had never had this before and I don't think he'll have it again. Nothing wrong with it other than it was Master Brew. |
| Shepherd Neame - Spitfire (or Spitfire Amber Ale) | 4.20 | Not Tried | |
