Rather quiet on Christmas Eve afternoon considering its location.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Figgy Pudding4.50GoodNot too much spicy flavour fortunately, making it quite a pleasant Christmas beer. My score 15/20.

Busy in the bistro, quite in the bar. Sat and looked out over the old rubbled car park and at the old, farm like, buildings next to it.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Black Prince3.90ExcellentGood condition. Black, roasted, light in the mouth, nice sweetness to it without being overpowering. Good stuff

Heading back to the station and probably had enough by this point. Again, a really good beer line up though.

On a trip round Canterbury. Pretty quiet this evening. But this pub always supports Kent ales which I like.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - Miller's Mirth4.20AcceptableOK bitter, but with some earthy hops on the end. Andrew would have liked this beer.
27 Dec 2010 (Martin the Mildman)
Rather spartan and clinical place. Got spotted by Ian in here. Most expensive beer by ABV.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Wantsum - More's Head (previously 3.4% & 3.5%)3.70AcceptableServed too cold so difficult to ascertain much of what was going on. Quite bitter with some hop flavours and not much malt I think. My score a somewhat generous 14/20.

I had half an hour to kill whilst waiting for a watch battery to be replaced so figured I'd come here and read the papers - which is exactly what I did.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Hopdaemon - Golden Braid3.70GoodIn good condition. Slightly rich, tangy, nutty-nettle hopped bear. Nice

Mini beer fest going on with around 10 barrels set up to serve beer on gravity. No 4 on the crawl

Pretty busy Saturday lunchtime. Football on the TV and lots of people eating to the left of the bar.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Kentish Reserve5.00ExcellentClear mid brown with constant foam head. Slight sweaty hop aroma. Good hit of fruit in the body and clear dry finish. Really very good and not a noticeably strong ale.
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - Seasider4.30Not Tried
01 Apr 2009 (Ian)
I sat and watched the Sky News from the G20 protests and wondered where the world had gone so wrong from both sides of the fence
BeerABVScoreNotes
Ramsgate Brewery (Gadds') - No. 54.40ExcellentMy favourite Gadd's beer. Brilliant in the fruit the malt and the hop bitterness.
27 Feb 2009 (Ian)
I sat and watched West Indies vs England in the cricket as Ravi Bopara got thumped in the head by a ball from Fidel Edwards.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Winkle Picker4.50GoodAmber colour, lasting beige head. It’s a slightly cereally best bitter, some fruit on finish. It’s quite pleasant. A decent bitter.
