Late afternoon visit and busy, my first visit here as a non landlord. Harvey is working and trying to convert me to Keykeg! He failed!! Simon took over from 6 and can’t replace a keykeg beer as not been trained 😂

Early evening but ugh. Lots of preparations for a Christmas quiz later, people eating chips and for some unearthly reason the pub has introduced 2 KeyKeg beers so a reduced cask choice. We escaped as soon as first pints were sunk.

Evening visit with lots of cross table chat and veiled criticism as I placed an Evening Standard on each table yet most were avidly read. Also on the beer board was the home concocted 'alf-'n-'alf Two Brewers Reveller - a 50/50 mix of Marble Table Beer and Revelation thus at 4.2%.

We arrived soon after the 17:00 opening so that we would have time for a couple of pints before catching the last bus to Maidstone at 18:42. Quiet at first but gradually filling up by the time we left. Disappointed to find that Goacher's House Bitter was not available today.

Early evening visit to celebrate a friend's birthday. It was good to see Jason and Mr. Pirrip who both contribute to this site. Goacher's House Beer (now a separate brew in its own right) was available here badged as Gremlins.

The pub is found in Sittingbourne, Kent, ME10 2JN.
First Micropub in Sittingbourne located on a street corner in Charlotte Street. Name reflects the significant historical importance of paper making to the area. Officially opened on Saturday 12th October 2013. The licensee is a lady who has always wanted to open a pub like pubs once were and has been very successful in achieving this. Premises were formerly a building contractor's office and prior to that various shop existences. Small square main bar with wall mounted high benches on all four sides and high tables to match. Table service from a gravity stillage cellar at the back. Unisex toilet. Decorated with enamel signs from old Kent breweries which have been lent by Goacher's Brewery from its vast collection and there is always a Goacher's beer on here. The very layout and size mean conversation is King, Queen, Prince and Princess. CAMRA Swale Branch Pub of the Year 2015, 2016 and again in 2017.
