Heaving as expected on a Friday evening. Bad practice continues of displaying pump clips for beers that are not available. Only listed the more interesting beers.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Evan Evans - Grand Cru St David’s Ale4.40AcceptableVery ordinary beer despite the showy name.
Wold Top - Wold Gold4.80Not Tried
Ringwood - Old Thumper5.10Not Tried
Vale of Glamorgan (VOG) - Dakota Red5.40Not TriedDisappointingly not on. Pump clip showing with not even a “coming soon” tag.

Celebratory pint - halfway through January and my 50p vouchers have arrived making it just £1.69. The barman said that their trade was about 50% up since the Ingoldsby closed - but it was quiet this afternoon. Just noted two of the beers on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Adnams - Broadside4.70GoodA warming brew for January.
Adnams - Mosaic Pale Ale4.10Not Tried
08 Dec 2017 (Jack William)
Start of my Xmas shopping - the rules are one pub for every shop - starting here around 1230. Busy and not quite enough bar staff on (no change there then). 4 or 5 other ales on.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Exmoor - Gold4.50Good
11 Feb 2017 (Jack William)
Mid afternoon - thought I ought to use a voucher and see what was on offer. Only listed the more unusual beers.

Late morning for Chai. Fair crowd in.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Temperance Union - Vfm Softy1.00PoorGetting fed up with lukewarm Chai....health & safety gone mad!
10 Mar 2016 (Jack William)
Using up my vouchers before the end of March - and at 50p off festival ales that are only £2.15 to start with this feels like being back in the 80s. Only noted those supped.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Moorhouse's - Pride of Pendle4.10GoodSolid brew.
Westerham - Audit Ale6.20GoodBarley wine notes - very nice.
Whitstable - Winkle Picker4.50AcceptableDisappointing - I like their IPA a lot - but this was very bland.
06 Feb 2016 (Jack William)
Mid afternoon - very busy. Just noted the two beers tried.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Pearl of Kent4.50GoodA flowery little number.
Westerham - Audit Ale6.20AcceptableRich, malty brew - but not much life in it.
25 Jan 2016 (Jack William)
Burns night - but not a sign of a wee promotion. No worries quite calm and pleasant in fact for a 'spoons.
BeerABVScoreNotes
Whitstable - Single Hop Chinook4.40ExcellentDry, crisp and hoppy and sparklingly bright. £1.49 with my CAMRA token - I feel rather guilty.
Wantsum - Turbulent Priest4.40AcceptableLove the name - especially relevant in Canterbury (Henry II v Becket reference) - but I''m not keen on this recipe at all.
Belhaven - Robert Burns Brown Ale4.20AcceptableI lied about the Burns theme - this looked liked a token gesture to Rabbie's night. Had a taster - too brown and sweet for me.
Greene King - Abbot5.00Not Tried
Sharp's - Doom Bar4.00Not Tried
Wantsum - Golgotha5.50Not Tried

Located just in North Lane. Quite substantial floor space and nooks and crannies to drink in.
